Financial literacy is essential for success in today's world, and this fast-paced, engaging Money Moves intersession course is designed to help students master the fundamentals of Personal Finance & Economics (PB&E) in just five days. Through real-world applications, interactive projects, and hands-on learning, students will develop the skills they need to make smart financial decisions now and in the future.
Using Virginia SOL and CTE competencies, students will explore budgeting, banking, credit, investments, insurance, and financial decision-making. Each day focuses on key financial concepts reinforced by collaborative activities, reflective writing, problem-solving scenarios, and a culminating presentation. By the end of the course, students will have built a personalized financial plan and gained the confidence to navigate their financial future.
